Challenge Statement
How do we extend our strong sense of community beyond the walls of ASB?
Project Summary
The PreK project began by brainstorming, "Who is in the Prek community?" and then, "Who is in the ASB school community?" and finally, "Who is outside the ASB community?" The class then chose who they would want to connect with from the ‘Outside ASB’ community. The students ended with a field trip to Maharashtra Nature Park. The action was inspired by the current unit of study, How The World Works, through which they had been discussing the natural world and sustainability. They hope to continue the connection and action of how to be more sustainable and spend more time in nature.
